Chhattisgarh Raid Kills 28 Naxals

• At least 28 Naxalites were killed in a gunfight in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar region on Friday.
• The operation began around 1 p.m. in the Abujhmad area of Narayanpur district.
• The final number of bodies recovered at 8 p.m.
• Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai congratulated the security forces and the victims.
• An AK47 rifle, a Self Loading Rifle, and other weapons were found at the site of the encounter.
• The number of Naxals killed by the forces this year has increased to 185.
• The BJP government has been focusing on eradicating Naxalism, with the ultimate goal being the eradication of Naxalism from the State.
