Required Minimum Educational Qualifications For W.B.C.S. Examination.

WBCS পরীক্ষার জন্য প্রয়োজনীয় ন্যূনতম শিক্ষাগত যোগ্যতা ।

As per latest notification of Public Service Commission regarding WBCS Examination l, Required Minimum Educational Qualifications For W.B.C.S. Examination is as follows:

A candidate must have the following qualifications which should be clearly stated in the application.

The qualifications prescribed in the advertisement are as per the notified recruitment rules issued by Govt.

Candidates must fulfil the essential qualifications by the closing date.

(i) A degree of a recognized University.

So only a graduation degree is needed, nothing more than that. No certain percentage is also needed, as per the advertisement.  As an inference, candidates who are in final year and expected date of passing exam is later than closing date, are not allowed to appear in this exam though PSC has not explicitly mentioned it.

(ii) Ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not required for those candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali) – vide Finance Department’s Notification No.1243-F(P) dated 02.03.2016.
N.B. : The candidates must fulfill the requisite qualifications by the closing date of submission of application.

(SO CANDIDATES IN THE LAST YEAR OF GRADUATION DEGREE CANNOT APPLY PROVISIONALLY).
